Mission Accomplished (Sacramento Concert 4-11-09) Video Included
Everything looked bright and hopeful until my friend basically bailed on me the day before the show. She didn’t want to leave early and this wasn’t her type of music plus her mom was giving her a hard time about it because the concert landed on her brother birthday. I called my mom to tell her what happened and I broke down crying because I didn’t want to be alone especially since I would be left with an extra ticket. My mom said to call my friend Candace. So I dried my eyes and calmed down enough to make the phone call. At first my friend thought I was joking because I sounded so sad but I told her it was no joke, that I was dead serious! She said without a doubt she’d go and was really excited about it. Downside was that she couldn’t leave early due to work but would show up right after. Everything seemed to brighten once again but still a little worried. I prepared Jessica’s birthday gifts all in one bag and I put the other Dolls gifts in another bag. Jessica got a Norma Jeane (Marilyn Monroe) merlot wine bottle, a Bettie Page shirt, Bettie Page book, Marilyn Monroe tank top, Sour Skittles, two cds, and of course the shoes. Ashley got season 1 of I Love Lucy and the movie Grandma’s Boy. Kim got the movie A League Of Their Own. I put a bunch of candy in there (Kit Katt, Snickers, Hershey’s Cookies and Cream, Starburst, Reese’s Pieces, and York Peppermint Patties) and some rubber wrist bands with a sayings on them. Unfortunately I ran out of time and ended up not getting Melody or Nicole something plus I couldn’t figure out what to get them. If I get the chance to meet them again I’ll get them something cool.

I arrived at 11am and went to talk to the workers there. I was told that the girls hadn’t arrived yet but should be was they were told 1pm is when they should show up. I waited for a few hours and still no sign of them. A crew member working at ARCO saw me and asked who I was waiting for then said he would continue to come back at check up on me and give some info when he heard something new. A Britney fan showed up around 2pm and waited with me which was nice of him. The crew member came back and said they should be here around 3pm and that their bus was silver. While waiting, buses showed up every so often. The buses there when I arrived belonged to production. They were setting up the stage. The security got who I first met was very helpful saying that they will come once the stage is done and that they were at their hotel waiting to be called. So the buses that showed up later on contained Britney’s dancers and props. Also the pink Britney bus showed up but it’s wasn’t her personal buses. So anyways while waiting one guy was practicing his whip and another was rolling skating up and down a hill. There were only two wheels on each shoe in the center. I found that kind of neat.

It was now 5pm and still no Dolls or Britney. They security guard said people usually always show up late and that they wouldn’t open the doors until sound check was done. I figured PCD would’ve been there by then because of rehearsals but I guess after doing the shows for the tour it’s a piece of cake so no need.

It was now around 5:50pm and a white tinted van shows up. Then I see a red head step out and behold it’s the beautiful Jessica Sutta! I yelled her name and showed pointed to her gift bag. A security guard told me to step back but Jessica walked up and said it was ok. Ashley followed along. Jess gave me a hug and so did Ash. They rest that showed up was Kim, Melody, Starr (Jessie’s Doggie), Kenny and Kevin. No Nicole for some reason. I gave her the bag and let me tell you she loved everything! Most memorable moment had to be when she saw the shoes. Her face was priceless! Almost cussed, jumped up and down like a kid on Christmas getting the thing she wanted most then showed Ashley. I so glad I caught a majority of it on film but was told to turn it off later on. She said “This is the coolest thing I think I ever got. Thank you so much. That is so rad.” But you know what was one of the best parts during that event was I got FIRST hand to see her NEWEST tattoo!!! She got “Doll” done on the back of her right ankle. Let me tell you that spot hurts. I showed her my ankle tattoo and the one on my ribs which she thought was cool and pretty. I said “I hear your Japanese, is that true.” She replied “That’s the rumor but no I’m Irish.” I asked her if she was full blooded and she said she thinks she’s German on her dad’s side but doesn’t really speak to him or something like that. Kim came up to me with a huge smile, gave me a hug while saying “I told you she’d like it!” I talked to Mel for a little but don’t remember much of what was said. She’s so chill and kick back.

I took a picture with Jessica and then she gave me the biggest hug while posing for the camera for another shot. She was so excited about her birthday gifts. I also took two pictures with the Dolls with me in the middle. Jessica signed my Blender magazine writing “I ♥ U! Jessica” with a little heart next to it. She then took it to the girls and got them to sign it as well. She told me she was going to give me a shout out tonight but when show time came and went for then, it didn’t happen. I didn’t care though because I was still on cloud 9 and still am. They are so beautiful in person it’s not even funny. All together I was with the Dolls for 15 minutes. It was just me and the other fan. There were others but they stayed back behind the other barrier. So glad they did because then I wouldn’t have talked and hung out with them for as long as I did. I think I love Jessica more then I did before! The only downside is the shoes might be a little too small but she didn’t care and said “Doesn’t matter I’ll squeeze it in.” She put them away while saying “I’m putting them on.” Man it was the BEST day of my life ever!!!

The concert was off the hook! PCD rocked it full out! Hella people where out of their seats dancing and singing along. So amazing! Gotta see another PCD show for sure!!!
