Review PCD performance in Amsterdam

Today I went out to see the Pussycat Dolls concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.

It was the first time that I went to a concert. I had not to high expectation of concerts because all of the other concerts that I watched on dvd or tv where a little bit static and not to spectacular with sound, light and pyrotechnics. The artist was the show and not to much more. The big festivals that I visited had very big shows so I was a little bit spoilt, and I worked for several years in the sound, light and video business so I had seen a lot already.

But…and there’s a big BUT, tonight was a amazing show! A lot of energy of the ladies of the Pussycat Dolls, they picked good songs with a big climax at the end at a lot of songs, there was a very good sound system, amazing light show and spectacular pyrotechnics. It was not to crowded and there was a good view of the Pussycat Dolls. Even at the back where I was.

The show was put toghter well with slow and up-tempo songs to work the crowd at the best possible way.

It started with Lady Gaga. She had a lot of nice songs and warmed up the crowd very good. She performed not to long. It was exactly the right lenght.

Then the main act: The ladies of PCD.

A good intro worked the crowed even more and the party started! The only thing I didn’t understand is that the ladies started with Take over the World in the original setting, beceause I think that the song not had enough energy to reach the climax of the intro. But after that the show continued with a lot of nice songs in a very high pass. I liked the house parts of some songs to bring that extra energy in to the show.

The best was one of the last songs. It was Don’t cha that ended with the house part of Show me love with vocals by Melody. That was absolutley amazing!

My nieces where with me tonight and they visited a lot of concerts with artists like Justin Timberlake, Christina Aquilera, Gwen Stefani, and a lot more so they seen a lot to, but even they said it was a big, big show.

I had a great time tonight!

Big credits to PCD, Lady Gaga and the hole team that made this happen! See you next time and keep up the great work!
