Manchester 29th
Well, as some of you may or may not know, I'm a steward at the Manchester Evening News Arena & was working on Thursday night when The Pussycat Dolls were playing, and thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and do a review of it

When I got to work, I saw someone who I didn't quite know who they were but recognised them straight away. He was walking around the back gate area on his phone (when watching the show I realised it was one of the dancers), anyway, he's a "fruit loop" according to someone I work with who said he's been demanding things all day.
I was on a door to start of with, scanning tickets & searching people's bags (sorry guys, orders from bove). I missed Lady GaGa & Neyo but was allowed to watch Pussycat Dolls, I was put onto the floor and was wearing a yellow blazer for anyone who saw me and was on the floor for about 10 minutes before the show started.
The lights went down, I got my torch out and the screams when the curtan fell were unbelievable, I knew what was coming, the video & then them, I forgot I was in the middle of showing someone to their seats and just looked at the stage and then pointed to a seat and left.
Takin' Over The World was a great starting song, I was really surprised at how many people knew the song and it definately got the crowd ready for more but they seemed to be getting a bit bored by the end, should we call it 'dance break' to the song, where the girls just slide from side to side with their arms and then Nicole: "Are you ready? Are you ready? Who's ready?" *Beep intro starts*. I forgot how much I loved Beep, it is a great crowd pleaser and should be performed more often - even though I was unsure about how "live" Jessica, Kymberley and Ashley's solos were in the solo section of the show but I was sure that they sung their one line each live at this point.
When they were talking to the audience, I noticed Nicole was a little off on some facts "We played here 2 years ago in 2006"; 2 years ago was 2007 bbz. And "we filmed our DVD here and it was released to the world"; was it though? Plus the whole "We're going to do solo sections from our album"; do they even know UK doesn't have access to this? And I didn't like her "Who loves me the most in Manchester?" either during Love The Way You Love Me, proper vain I thought.
I thoght the new remixes of songs were good though, I Don't Need A Man's intro really hyped up the crowd and the ending of I Hate This Part.
Through like wikipedia searches, Don't Wanna Fall In Love, was a #2 hit when it was released by it's original artist, but loads of people seemed to know the song & Space aswell by Melody. But, it was the section when the toilets and the bar were the busiest.
The ending was just great, even though people left before the encore (as if they weren't going to sing Don't Cha or When I Grow Up), I was actually singing along to the entire show and did sweet FA work. One of the best concerts I've worked, I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I wasn't working due to a massive security thing happening & having to shout at a good 1000 people in the space of 15 mins for trying to take pictures of JLS.
