Puakenikeni (poo-wah-kin-nee-kin-nee) is the third/forth (The song Supervillian was released to iTunes USA in late 2007, although never a full single release, its release to iTunes is seen - in some quarters - as an official release) single to be released by Nicole Scherzinger.

The track is produced and written by Jamaican duo Brick & Lace, who are featured on the track, and their manager Akon.
Puakenikeni Fagraea baeteroana, a fragrant, yellowish white flower, native to the South Pacific, is used in Hawaii for the most beautiful leis. It's Scherzinger's favorite flower.

 

"Puakenikeni" was first featured in The CW commercial as, "Get Into It", which isn't lyrically similar.

 

The song was chosen from a poll on Scherzinger's website HerNameIsNicole.com. On December 10, 2007 it was announced that Puakenikeni was the newest and succeeding track to be released next.

 

The digital single was released on December 18, 2007.

 

As of January 2008 there has been no further news on this single (again, maybe due to poor sales on iTunes and a lack of responce from US radio, citing yet more delays for her album)
